La conmovedora carta de despedida de ‘The Rock’ a su papá

Dwayne Johsnon ha roto su silencio y ha hablado sobre la muerte de su padre, Rocky Johnson, leyenda de la WWE, fallecido el pasado 15 de enero.

El actor, que fue luchador y fue entrenado por su propio progenitor, ha expresado su dolor, como también palabras de cariño.

Nacido en Nueva Escocia, Canadá, el 24 de agosto de 1944, Johnson hizo historia junto con Tony Atlas al ser el primer equipo de raza negra en lograr el Campeonato de Parejas de la WWE.

Retirado desde 1991, Johnson se dedicó a entrenar a su hijo Dwayne, que debutó en la WWF en 1996.

En 2008, The Soul entró en el Hall de la Fama de la WWE, junto con Peter Maivia.

comienza escribiendo el actor en su cuenta personal de Instagram, donde confiesa haber sido ese «niño que estaba sentado detrás» mirándolo y observándolo.

«Fuiste mi héroe en la distancia», manifiesta el actor.

Me criaste para sentirme siempre orgulloso de nuestras raíces, de nuestra cultura.

Me enseñaste a valorar el trabajo duro. Al crecer me di cuenta de que tenías otras facetas, más complejas y profundas, que me permitieron comprender mejor.

Fue entonces cuando mi devoción se convirtió en respeto y mi empatía en gratitud», añade.

Me siento enormemente agradecido por las lecciones de vida que me diste, que son de un valor incalculable.

Desearía tener una oportunidad más para decir que te quiero, antes de que te marches, pero te fuiste tan rápido, sin previo aviso.

Quiero que estés en paz, te quiero, papá, siempre te estaré agradecido y siempre me sentiré orgulloso de ti», termina. (E)
